Project Description

The challenging part of the transformation from Torrid into a Dry Goods required moving the Orland Square Mall Medium Pressure main ducts that connected the 2nd floor to 1st floor systems. These ducts were in the middle of the space and their relocation required saw cutting out the concrete and metal deck above the J.Jill and Sonoma & Co., while not affecting their business, installing custom built cat-walks for the iron workers and HVAC contractor, and infilling the floor to create new retail for Dry Goods.
